My coaching philosophy is rooted in the power of the mind-body connection and the belief that sustainable behavior change emerges when safety, mindful awareness, autonomy, and self-efficacy are prioritized. I work from a whole-person perspective which recognizes that thoughts, emotions, behaviors, physiology, environment, and lived experience all influence one’s overall health and wellbeing. I partner with clients to explore patterns, values, and resources as well as to identify any challenges or barriers in order to support change that is self-directed, meaningful, realistic, and sustainable.
Because of my own experience with chronic illness, I am especially mindful of energy, pacing, and capacity as well as the fact that we are each the expert of our own bodies and lives. My coaching is centered around autonomy, presence, regulation, and trust, allowing meaningful work to happen without overwhelm. Sessions are structured one-on-one and virtually to support fluctuating energy and capacity.
I feel it is important to mention that this work is not about fixing, rather it is about learning how to find ways to live in relationship with your body instead of in conflict with it. Our focus will be on working at your own pace in a safe, supportive space toward behavior change while using tools to regulate and expand the capacity of your nervous system.
Chrysalis Wellness Coaching philosophy:
We live in a fast-paced, competitive society where overwork and constant productivity are praised, while rest and recovery are undervalued and even shamed. My approach recognizes that wellness and lasting change doesn’t come from pushing harder or overriding the body, but from learning how to listen, slow down, and rebuild safety at a pace the nervous system can sustain.
My coaching is especially aligned with people who are living with chronic stress, health challenges, burnout, or long-standing patterns of self-abandonment. Many of us are used to “powering through,” even when our bodies are asking for us to slow down and practice some self-care. Using a trauma-informed approach helps to create safety in the nervous system as clients learn how to gently listen to and honor the body as a source of information and wisdom.
Together, we co-create a holistic health journey which has the capacity to address a multitude of wellness facets including physical (sleep, rest, nutrition, movement, nervous system regulation) mental (emotional wellbeing, fulfillment and purpose in life, spirituality), and relational (family life, professional life, social life). You decide which direction we take in order to facilitate gentle, practical shifts through meaningful goal setting that support stability rather than depletion.
My Approach
Like a caterpillar in its chrysalis, growth and transformation are allowed to occur organically, without rushing or force. Chrysalis Wellness Coaching is an invitation to honor where you are, tend to what’s emerging, and trust the wisdom of your own unfolding.
Safe and supportive space-holding
In our one-on-one virtual sessions together, empathy, pacing, choice, collaboration, and non-judgement are prioritized, creating a supportive container where your nervous system can soften and recalibrate. Sessions are designed to support regulation and capacity, allowing clients to show up just as they are and engage in reflection and experimentation without pressure or overwhelm.
Capacity-conscious goal setting
I use a capacity-conscious approach to goal setting that aligns with evidence-based behavior change principles. Goals are co-created, flexible, and responsive to the client’s current energy, resources, and life context. Progress is not measured just by outcomes, but by increased awareness, confidence, self-trust, and resilience. Clients build skills and tools that they can carry forward beyond our coaching sessions.
